Tibetan Socks is the culmination of a lifetime of spiritual growth. We proudly share them with you.
Tibetan Socks was born from founder Adrien Field’s personal journey of inward searching. Having worked in India for several years as a clothing designer, he had already developed a deep love for the country and its people over his many visits.
After the close of his design business at the end of 2014, he was unsure of his life direction and purpose. Having found inspiration so many times before in India, he knew he needed to return. In January of 2015, he traveled alone to Rishikesh, a small city filled with ashrams and Hindu temples at the foothills of the Himalayas. It was the middle of winter and during the night the temperature dropped to freezing. The guesthouse where he was staying had no heat and treading its marble floors was akin to walking on ice. At a small local market, he found a stall selling yak wool socks made by exiled Tibetan women in Nepal. They were the only thing that kept his feet warm in the cold Himalayan climate.
The idea came to him like a revelation - bring these socks back to America and support the community that makes them. Tibetan Socks is the culmination of a lifetime of spiritual growth. We proudly share them with you.
